Who we are
This site belongs to Structure and Style Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16822866. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at info@structureandstyle.co.uk or 07309 872555.
What we collect, and why
If you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone number, email address, the area you are in, whatever you tell us about the job, any photographs you attach, and how you heard about us. We use it to answer your enquiry, quote for the work, and carry it out if you go ahead.
The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Photographs you send us
Photographs you attach to an enquiry are used to understand the space and price the work. We do not publish them. Photographs of completed work are only used in our own marketing where the customer has agreed to it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site: pages viewed, roughly where visitors are, what device they use, and which links they tap. IP addresses are shortened by Google before storage and we cannot identify you from any of it. We do not use analytics for advertising.
It runs only if you accept it. The notice at the bottom of the page asks once, analytics stays off until you say yes, and ignoring the notice leaves it off. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time on our cookies page, which lists exactly what is stored.
Who else sees your information
Our website is hosted by Netlify, and enquiries submitted through the form are processed by them on our behalf. Analytics data is processed by Google. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation runs through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell your information to anyone and we do not use it for marketing lists.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept while there is a realistic prospect of the work going ahead, then deleted. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years, which is the period we need them for tax and for any claim about the work.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@structureandstyle.co.uk and we will reply within a month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
